She was predeceased by: her parents, Fitzhugh McGill Sr. and Rosa Reid McGill; her husband Lyman Dawkins Sr.; and her siblings, James McGill (Mary), Lula Mae Jefferies (Elmer), Lois Rice (TJ), Fitzhugh McGill Jr. and Joe Dean McGill.
She is survived by: her children, Lyman Dawkins, Jr. (Mary), Cassandra Gaffney (William) and Johnny Lee Jefferies (Naomi) of Gaffney; her grandchildren, Lyman Dawkins III (Mahogany), Charity Dawkins, Joshua Jefferies of Gaffney, Shelton Gaffney of Daytona Beach, Shannon Davis (Antoine) of Suffolk and Christopher Jefferies (Ashely) of Greenville; and her siblings, Rosetta Gillespie (Clayton) of Jamestown, Valerie Smith (Gilbert) of Gaffney, Gladys Little (Robert) of Thomasville and Johnny McGill (Wanda) of Gastonia. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
