With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy Swanger Sr. of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on September 24, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, T. B. Swanger and Ocie Hawkins Swanger; and his brothers, Bobby Swanger and Tommy Swanger. He is survived by: his wife Sara Elizabeth Love Swanger (Beth); his children, Billy Mitchell Swanger, Jr. (Melissa) of Gaffney, Laura Swanger Evans (David) of Gaffney and Christy Swanger Moore (Brad) of Clinton, Tennessee; his sister Carolyn Guyton of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Parker Burrell (Bailey), Chase Burrell, Cayden Evans, Kaylee Moore and Brody Moore; his great grandchildren, Parker Burrell Jr. and Baxley Burrell; and his sisters-in-law, Julia Swanger of Gaffney and Dot Swanger of Cowpens. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
