It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred Moody Blanton Jr. of Gaffney, South Carolina, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on August 12, 2023, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred M. Blanton and Nettie Mae Blanton of Gaffney, SC.. He is survived by: his sons, Joseph Alexander Blanton and Andrew Garth Blanton of Gaffney, SC; his granddaughter Paisley Mae Blanton; and his sister Deborah Rhodes of Greenville, SC..
