He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Rice and Allie Wood Rice; his stepson Jeff Mahaffey; and his siblings, Danny McCartney and Stella Rice.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Cartee Rice; his daughter Amber Rice (Maria); his stepchildren, Nikki Mahaffey and Mark Mahaffey (Kim); his grandchildren, Zack, Alicia, Brandon, Asa and Aimee; his great grandchildren, Calliegh, Jeffrey and Adriana; and his nieces, Angel Forrester (Jeremy) and April McCartney (Dwayne).
