He was predeceased by: his wife Judy Ann Tucker Knight; his parents, Robert Lee Knight and Geneva Campbell Knight; his son H. L. "Junior" Knight, Jr.; his brother Gene Knight; and his granddaughter Ashley Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Judy Smith and Karen Mann (Charlie); his sister Darlene Cooper; and his grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Roger Knight, Josh Harvey (Nicole), Amber Roberts, Michael Knight, Austin Harvey, Bradley Knight and Emilee Harvey. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
