She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Arthur Oliver Rast and Gladys Geneva Smoak Rast; her siblings, William Pinckney Rast and Christina "Tina" Strickland; her husband J. Arnold Clayton; her children, Brenda Clayton of Goose Creek, James R. "Randy" Clayton (Cookie) of Moncks Corner and Bruce Arnold Clayton (Cheryl) of Cross Hill, SC; and her sister Ella Mae Emery (Jerry) of Goose Creek. She was also cherished by ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
