He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Brown Gilmer and Shirley Cartrette Gilmer; and his sister Pauline Self. He is survived by: his wife Benita Thomley Gilmer; his children, Amber Renee Gilmer of Lexington, Kimberly Garbade (Paul) of Lugoff and William Lee (Rebecca) of Lugoff; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Blake, Brady, Madison, Benjamin, Harrison, Jaxson, Hayley and Paul.
