She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Douglas and Viola Medlin Douglas; her sons, Bruce Leroy Sloan Jr. and Donald W. Sloan; and her brother Tommy Douglas.

She is survived by: her son Barry Eugene Sloan (Sharon) of Elgin; her daughter-in-law Barbara Sloan of Elgin; and her siblings, Ruby Alwine Hill of Columbia and Ervin Douglas of Elgin. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandsons; and 1 great-granddaughter.
