He is survived by: his father John "Slim" Deal; his sisters, Carla Burgdorf and Brenda Ripley; his grandfather Billy Joe Simpson; his nephew Matthew Holcombe; his nieces, Emma Deal, Lauren Merrell, Jonnalee Ripley, Maggie and Cassie Burgdorf; his great-niece Hailey Deal; his great-nephew James Pennington; his aunt Barbara Brockell; and his stepfather Wes Miller.
