He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Ladson Darby and Catherine Fellers Darby; and his wife Donna Leopard Darby. He is survived by: his sisters, Carol Darby Merchant (Bruce) and Meg Darby Muir; his grandchildren, Darby Sloan Duncan (Brendan), Maggie Sloan Young (Robert), Cutler FitzGerald (Madison), Caitlin Darby FitzGerald (Chandler Keith) and Carson Rogers Sloan; and his great grandchild Rogers Scarborough Young.
Fred was a long-time member of Mt. Hebron and wished for memorials to be made to the Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 3050 Leaphart Rd., West Columbia, SC, 29169, or a charity of choice.
