It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Franklin Edwards Sr. of Dillon, South Carolina, who passed away on February 14, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester W. Edwards and Addie Small Edwards; his former wife Mary Smith Edwards; and his brother Howard Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Jerri Jackson Hayes-Edwards of Dillon; his children, Tammy Edwards Herring of Latta and Ed Edwards, Jr. (Julie) of Greer, SC; his grandchildren, Jamison Herring of Latta, Mary Addison Edwards of Greer, SC, Raylie Edwards of Greer, SC and Cason Edwards of Greer, SC; his stepchildren, Mike Hayes (Dana) of Dillon, Ashley Hayes of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Chad Hayes of Florence, SC; his stepgrandsons, Michael Hayes (Morgan) of Dillon, Ethan Hayes of Columbia, SC, Jackson Hayes of Buies Creek, NC and Levi Hayes of Florence, SC; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Addison Hayes of Dillon and Lillie Hayes of Dillon; his sister Judy Edwards Bailey (Bill) of Boone, NC; and his pet Iggy.
