She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Carter and Louise Ammons Carter; her sons, Eddie Grimsley, Johnny Grimsley and Michael Grimsley; and her siblings, Roy Lamar Carter, William Carter (Bill), Jimmy Carter, Bobby Carter, Virginia Kernodle, Rachel Owens and Christine Huggins.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Tommy Grimsley, Melinda Grimsley and Michelle Grimsley; her great grandchildren, Harlee Lange, Hayden Lange and Mason Repp of Michigan; her aunts, Frances Bailey and Annie Mae McDaniel; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara Carter, Margaret Carter of Dillon, S. C. and LeRoy Owens. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
