It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sybil Jones Hathcock of Cottageville, South Carolina, born in Savannah, Georgia, who passed away on June 4, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Jones, Jr. and Irene Hendrix Jones. She is survived by: her husband Carrol Hathcock; her children, Brent Hathcock of Atlanta, Carole Lynne O'Brien (Jim) of Woodbridge, Stephanie Gruber (Timmy) of Round and Wesley Hathcock of Cottageville; her siblings, Edwin Jones, Harry Jones and Edith Hathcock; and her grandchildren, Patrick O'Brien (Brianna), Lauren O'Brien, Sean Gruber, Cody Gruber, Jessica Schwind (Trevor) and Joshua Hathcock. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
