It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Staton of Cottageville, South Carolina, born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on August 16, 2020, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chuck Staton (Ann) and Bobbie Staton; and his brother Paul Staton. He is survived by: his wife Renee Staton of Cottageville; his stepmother Ann Staton of Summerville, SC; his sisters, Lisa Staton Kelien of Ladson, SC and Susan Martinez; his nephews, Michael Staton, Cody Kelien and Carolann Kelien; his great-niece Kylie Staton; and his stepsiblings, Mike Gray, Robbie Gray, Saundra Minter and Suzanne Pye.
Due to the current Covid-19 virus, family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life event on November 7, 2020 in Cottageville.
Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
