He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Otto Rickus and Mildred Belle Rickus. He is survived by: his sons, Derrick Charles Rickus (Dawn) of Bessemer City, Anthony Scott Rickus (Lisa) of Summerville and Tracey Alan Rickus (Melissa) of Summerville; the mother of his child Judith Spence of Summerville; and his grandchildren, Lauren, Tiffany, Coleton, Devin, Andrew, Macie, Chloe and Caleb.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be directed in his memory to one's choice in an animal society or to a Leukemia research and treatment organization.
