He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen T. Willis and Rachel Harbiston Willis; his son Edward Legare "Ned" Willis, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Rhonda DeVries Willis; and his siblings-in-law, Johnny Branton and Cherie Branton.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Byrd Willis; his daughter Penny Willis Thomas (Mitch) of Cottageville; his grandchildren, Ashley Thomas Fry (Josh) of Summerville, Lee Willis and Logan Willis of Walterboro; his great grandchildren, Gabe and Harper of Summerville; his brother Reverend Alfred Willis (Lenora) of Saint Stephen; his brother-in-law Donnie Byrd (Patsy) of Round; and his caregiver Heather Delong. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
