He was predeceased by: his parents, George "G. W." Ackerman of Washington and Sallie Mae Warren Ackerman. He is survived by: his wife Christine O'Quinn Ackerman; his sons, William W. "Billy" Ackerman Jr. (Donna) and George Ackerman; and his grandchildren, Gordon Ackerman, Christie Ackerman, Katrina Coker (Kyle), Regina Odum (Roger) and Ashley "Woody" Ackerman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
