He was predeceased by: his wife Zora Lee Walters; his children, Trudy Sheeran and Gary Stevens; and his sisters, Louise Brunson, Ruth Paul and Alvena Carswell.
He is survived by: his sons, Alvin Walters, Jr. (John Dodson) and Michael Stevens (BenLee); his grandchildren, Jennifer Wrixon, Michael Wrixon, Jr., Michael Stevens, Jr., James Stevens and Barbara Mathis; and his brother John Lewis Walters (Judy). He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
