He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Pruitt Scruggs; and his parents, Boney Scruggs and Maggie Cash Scruggs. He is survived by: his sons, William "Billy" Bryan Scruggs (Wanda) of Georgia and Jerry Scruggs of Chesnee. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
