He is survived by: his father William Vance Gilbert, Sr.; and his children, Todd Gilbert (Angie), Missy Reel (Chad) and Regina Catto (Jason). He is also survived by his friends, patients, cousins, nieces, & nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels or the Shriners Hospital.
