He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Gibson Blanton and Amy Hughey Blanton; his siblings, Ernestine Emory, Sarah Wall, Eugenia Humphries, James Blanton, Alfred Dean Blanton, Harold Blanton and Charles Dupre "Skinner" Blanton; and his son-in-law Rev. Billy Hollifield.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Hollifield of Gaffney, Debby Robinson of McLean, VA. and Chesnee.
