He is survived by: his wife Nancy Diane Varner Stephens; his children, Diane Tripp of Campobello, Karen McAbee (Eric) of Inman and Robert Stephens (Becca) of Inman; his siblings, Agnes Thomas of Inman, James Stephens of Inman and Albert Stephens of Inman; his grandchildren, Brian Tripp II, Adriana Wilson, Hannah Steinecke, Alise Morgan, Dillon Stephens, Audrey Cox, Morgan Sargent and Jocelyn McAbee; and his great grandchildren, Vivian Tripp, Teagan Wilson, Clayton Wilson, Bryley Steinecke and Elijah Palmer.
