He was predeceased by: his parents, William Everett Dixon and Pearl Vaughn Dixon; his son Dean Dixon; and his siblings, Corporal William Thomas Dixon, Wilbur Wray Dixon and Treva Hamrick.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Kinard Dixon; his children, Jeffrey W. Dixon (Gina) of Stokesdale, NC, Thomas W. Dixon (Robin) of Boiling Springs and Dr. Lynne Dixon of Greer; his nephew Michael Patterson of Charlotte; his brother Michael Dixon of Gaffney; and his grandchildren, Dr. Phillip Dixon (Lauren), Blair Dixon, Houston Dixon, Madison Dixon, Ashley Heffner and Forrest Richardson (Brittany).
