He is survived by: his children, Shannon Strickland (Annette Willette) of Charleston and Veeann Breaker (George) of Ravenel; his daughter-in-law Laura Strickland; his grandchildren, Kyle, Katie, Russell Breaker, Jamie Strickland (Stephanie), Misty Strickland and Kevin Mathes (Megan); his great grandchildren, Alana Breaker, Luna Mathes, Everly and Jacob Strickland; his sister Ann Housand of Charleston; and his siblings-in-law, Alice Gillespie of Summerville and Legrand Hardee (Rosemary) of Ravenel.
