He is survived by: his children, Holly Hopton (TJ) of Charleston, SC., Ashley Hopton of Charleston and Mark Sumersett (Sadie) of Charleston, SC.; his grandchildren, Kylie, Chloe, Christian, Brinley and Austin; his sisters, Teresa Acker (Jim) and Linda Cumberland; and his nieces and nephews, Carrie, Gil, Chelsea, Jennifer, Louie, James, Tristan, Shannon and Fallon.
His big heart and kind soul clearly impacted his co-workers and his life-long contributions to the construction industry are beyond measure.
