He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Jackson Yon Sr. and Rose Marie Jeffcoat Yon; his wife Ellen Yon; and his daughters, Rhonda Marie Hair and Rise Carter.

He is survived by: his sons, Marion Jackson Yon III and Randy Edward Yon. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 8 grandchildren.
