He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Halstead McGee and Madeleine Stoney McGee. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Moore "Patti" McGee of Sullivan's Island; his daughters, Madeleine McGee (F. C. "Bunky" Wichmann) of Sullivan's Island and Evelyn McGee Colbert (Stephen Colbert) of Montclair, NJ; his grandchildren, Madeleine, Peter and John Colbert; and his daughters, Lucy and Theo Wichmann.
