He is survived by: his son Michael J Brown of Charleston, SC.; his grandchildren, Aaron Brown, Ryan Brown, John R. Brown and Steven Brown; and his great grandchildren, Sophia Brown, Brandy Ross, Alex Brown, Collin Brown and Azreal Brown.
