With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Frederick Mappus (Charleston, South Carolina), who passed away on December 17, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, T. W. Mappus of Charleston, SC. and Hermine Rosebrock Mappus of Charleston, SC.; his former wife Patricia Heinsohn Mappus; and his siblings, Dr. T. W. Mappus Jr., Julian Mappus, Charlie Mappus and Wilma Mappus.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lee Mappus; his sons, Rick Mappus (Cynthia) of Charleston, SC, Glenn Mappus (Mindy) of Ridgeville, SC and Greg Mappus (Tracie) of Charleston, SC; his grandchildren, Mandy, Glenn Jr., Eric, Daniel, Drew and Preston (Jayce); and his great grandchildren, Maddy and Waylon.
