He is survived by: his grandchild Gospel; his wife Carolyn Patricia Smith; his children, Demetris Murray (Kenneth) of Chapin, SC, Rodney Mayers (Susan) of Bluffton, SC and Ricky Mayers (Shawn) of Chapin, SC; his siblings, Hulie Smith (Brenda) of Thomasville, NC, Willie Smith (Mattie) of Winnsboro, SC, Thelma L. Smith of Peak, SC and Shirley Richardson of Columbia, SC; his uncles, James Corley of Little Mountain, SC and Curtis Nelson (Leanner) of Hopkins, SC; his aunt Minnie Douglas of Newberry, SC; his siblings-in-law, Jeffery Mayers of Columbia, SC and Twanda Mayers of McDonough, GA; and his friends, James Sims, George Bickley and Henry Watson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.

All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
