He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Nix and Pearl Nix. He is survived by: his wife Joan Sexton Nix; his children, Sonya Winchester (Thurmond) of Pickens, SC and Jason Nix (Shannon) of York, SC; and his grandchildren, Courtney Aleman, Kirstie Winchester, Hunter Winchester, Jarod Winchester, Jacob Nix and Brody Nix. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
