He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyce Lee and Sally Jane Crocker Loftis; and his siblings, Earl, Donald, Dewey, Jake Loftis and Marie Loftis.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Alverson (Cathy), Sandra Dyer (Eddie) and Vickie Gregory; his brother Carroll Loftis; and his grandchildren, Tonya (Daniel Alverson), Amber Alverson, Justin (Casey Dyer) and Ricky (David Allison). He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
