It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Thompson of Branchville, South Carolina, born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, who passed away on December 31, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow "Buck" Thompson and Nellie Wiles Thompson; and his brother Roger Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Wiles Thompson; and his children, Debbie Rutland (Michael), James "Derek" Thompson, Tammy Reeves (Scott), Chris Jones (Chrissie) and Willie Jones (Reesha). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
