It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Austin of Branchville, South Carolina, born in Whitmire, South Carolina, who passed away on January 28, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. Alston and Emma T. Alston; his siblings, Edward Alston, Betty Tribble, Mary Caldwell and Lois Miller; and his former wife Sarah Ann.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Austin; his daughter Theresa Austin; and his siblings, David Alston (Margaret), Hazel Stukey, Quester West, Dorothy Holmes (Arthur), Emma Lee Williams (Gene) and Linda Davis. He is also survived by three brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
