He was predeceased by: his parents, George Washington Moak and Johnnie Louise Halstead Moak; and his wife Betty Mathis Moak. He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Beckham Pemberton (Robert), Mamie Turner (Steve) and Nancy Grogan (Mike); and his grandchildren, Ginny Wright (Russell), Jamie Beckham (Amanda), Tamara Day (Bryan) and Eric Grogan (Elisa). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
