It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Eileen Dempsey of Blythewood, South Carolina, born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, who passed away on August 30, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sullivan and Isabel Sullivan (MacLaren); her brothers, Charles, Robert and John Sullivan; her grandson Brian John Dempsey; her son Brian James Dempsey; her granddaughter Jessica Dempsey; and her daughter-in-law Janine Dempsey (Hundemann).

She is survived by: her husband Jack; her daughters, Coleen Pierre of Blythewood, SC and Jacqueline Wendt of Howell, NJ.; her grandchildren, Allyson, Justin, Paul Pierre, Shawna Lanier (Pierre), Amanda Matthews (Dempsey), Christopher and Jenna Wendt; and her great grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Shane Davis, Emory, Jayden Lanier, Zavier Blake, Riley, Liam Pierre, Gavin Pierre, Cheyenne, Angela, Donnie Matthews, Emily Dempsey and Landon Davis. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and numerous friends.
