He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Joseph Jr. (Michelle), Michael (Lorine), Tammy (Jon Jr.) and Laurie (Bill); his grandchildren, Lisa (Sean), Gabrielle, Gianna, Stephanie, Jon III, Amanda, Sofia, Madelyn, Olivia, Max, Lilly and Lola; and his brothers, Phillip (Rosie) and Ronald (Terri).

In lieu of flowers, Joe's family has requested donations be made to the Fisher House in Charleston, South Carolina.
