He is survived by: his wife Bess; his sons, George McLeod Soper, III of Greenville and Gray Allensworth Soper; his grandchildren, George McLeod Soper, IV and Isla Jane Soper; his sisters, Susan Soper Holland (William "Bo") of Atlanta, Wendy Soper McSweeney (Patrick) of Powhatan and Virginia; and his pet Sweetie.
