He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Dorothy R. (Mikut); his children, Gene, Jr. (Geri) and Jeff (Tina); his sister Gladys; his parents, William H. Roach and Jeanette Roach (Tracey); and his siblings, Jim, Edna, Bill and Jack.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Parkinson's Foundation in Gene's honor.
