It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alaina Marie Matthews Evans of Bluffton, South Carolina, born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Curtis Lee, Wilburn and Gaynell Matthews; her nephew Mikaele Matthews; and her niece Audrey Matthews.

She is survived by: her husband Jeffrey C. Evans; her daughter Reaghan Marie Evans of Bluffton, SC; her mother Karen Lee Matthews of Coward; her siblings, Stephanie Matthews Purvis (Charlie) of Florence and Mickey Matthews (Trianna) of Coward, SC; her grandmother Judy Lee of Scranton, SC.; her mother-in-law Sandra Clark of Bluffton, SC; her sister-in-law Jodi L. Evans (Mary Jo Wachs) of Bluffton; and her child-in-law Mishawaka.
