She was predeceased by: her father Forest Ward; and her brothers, Mike, Eddie and Johnny Ward. She is survived by: her husband Wayne Mintz; her mother Patricia Polk Ward; her son Joseph Mintz (Savanna); her grandson Carson Mintz of Blacksburg; and her siblings, Hank, Jeff Ward of Lincolnton, NC and Schanda Ward of Lincolnton, NC..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude"s Children"s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
