She was predeceased by: her husband James V. Richards; her parents, Wesley Childers and Minnie Childers; her son James Roland Richards; her siblings, Roger "Buddy" Dale Childers, John Childers, Bob Childers and Grace Childers; and her sister-in-law Carolyn Raines.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Gonzales of Blacksburg, SC, Linda Jackson of Blacksburg, SC and Ruth Upton of Blacksburg, SC; and her sister Jackie Dover of Gaffney, SC.. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
