It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Emery (Blacksburg, South Carolina), born in Cowpens, South Carolina, who passed away on July 12, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Alonzo White and Myrtle Hopper White; her close friend Nikki; her grandson Manuel Goode; and her siblings, Robert A. White Jr. and Jean Ortega.
She is survived by: her son Jerry Wayne Emery of Blacksburg; her stepchildren, Gary Emery and Sandy Lesueur; her sister Janice Goforth of Gaffney; her caregiver Casey Ellis (Bryan) of Grover, NC; her grandson Thomas Goode of Cowpens; and her caregiver Nikki. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
