She was predeceased by: her husband Basil Childers; and her parents, Charlie Fowler and Mattie Mae Painter Fowler. She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Childers of Blacksburg, Becky Varner of Blacksburg and Barry Childers of Blacksburg. She is also survived by five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
