He was predeceased by: his parent Clyde Horton; his daughter Pamela Horton Klinect; and his sisters, Vera Kay Cockrell and Nancy Newcome. He is survived by: his parent Florence Barfield Horton; his children, Patty Horton Hidy (Joseph "Joe") of Dayton, Ohio and Jay Horton of Bethune; his grandchildren, Josh Klinect, Carson Hidy, Tayte Hidy and Reese Hidy; and his siblings, Robert (Joyce) of Lugoff and Joyce Ann McLean (Kenneth) of Blythewood.
