He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jule Funderburk and Grace Funderburk; his brothers, James "Jimmy" Funderburk (Sue) of Cheraw, SC and Jule Funderburk (Phyllis) of Taylor, SC.; his wife Faye Driggers Funderburk; his daughters, Stephanie Johnston (Ed) of Wagram, NC, Debra Griggs of Bennettsville, SC and Kristie Hyatt (Jay) of Bennettsville, SC.; his grandchildren, Morgan Powers (Tim), Caleb Monroe, Will Griggs, Josh Griggs, Aubrey Layne Price (Will Parrish) and Tyson Hyatt; and his great grandchildren, Mimi Grace and Nora Faye Powers.
