With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sylvia J. Alexson (Bennettsville, South Carolina), who passed away on June 5, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Currin and Maybelle Huggins Currin; her husband George Alexson; her children, Sam Speight, Sr., Earl Speight and Wanda Lynn Alexson; her grandson Paul Britt; and her siblings, Edward Currin, Preston Currin, Joseph B. Currin and Patsy May Currin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Faye Brigman (Weldon) of Wallace and Linda "Pop" Kuykendall (Ed) of Bennettsville; her sister Geneva Callahan (Curly) of Lumberton, NC; and her grandchildren, Chris Speight (Trina), Amy Melton (Frankie), Alicia Speight, Sam Speight, Jr. and Elizabeth Cross (Tom). She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; and a host of special nieces and nephews.
