She was predeceased by: her husbands, Johnny Palermo and Sam Benson; her parents, James Hollice and Mamie Deal Kitchings; and her sister Regina Kitchings Benson.
She is survived by: her nephews, Jonathan Glenn Benson (Linda) and Donald David Benson; her brother-in-law Rev. Donald Benson; and her great-niece Catherine Hernandez.
