He was predeceased by: his parents, Carson Whitfield Cato, Sr. and Eula Lee Whetstone Cato; his sister Ida Lee Cato; and his brother-in-law Gene Cockrell. He is survived by: his wife Judy Ann Cook Cato; his children, Dana Marie Cato Risher (Buri) and Donald Whitfield Cato (Sandra); his grandchildren, AJ Gidron (Erica), Jade Gidron, Sean Whitfield Cato, Michael Donley Cato and Rebecca Elaine Cato; and his siblings, Clarence Michael Cato (Loretta) and Phyllis Cato Cockrell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
