He was predeceased by: his parents, Levon Gantt, Sr. and Katie M. Dreher Gantt; and his stepbrother Charles Neely. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hinton Gantt; his children, Jennifer Richardson (Ryan) and Kevin David Gantt (Ashly); his grandchildren, Aubrey, Rashad, Sha-Dasia Richardson, Tyler, Annalee, Ava Gantt, Raymond and Gracelyn Matyka; his brother Lavon "Sonny" Gantt, Jr.; and his stepbrother Lee Gantt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Epworth Children's Home, 2900 Millwood Avenue, Columbia, SC, 29205.
